Rough Love

David loves Madeline so much and loves to give her hugs. When he sees her first thing in the morning he wants to give her a hug. I am glad that he loves her so much but sometimes his expressions of love can get a little rough and that is when I hear the cry from Madeline. David doesn't really know the difference between a soft hug and a full body slam. These photos are just a few of the hugs I got pictures of but he "hugs" her a few times each day. She is going to be a tough girl! Maybe he is already fulfilling his role as big brother and looking out for her by teaching her to be tough.

so funny! i think babies with siblings definitely have to be a lot tougher than first borns. my nephews do the same thing to their little sis. :)

I don't think Caleb was as rough with Mia but I definitely fear the "love and mothering" Mia might give to a younger sibling.

Maybe David is just a physical being, it is really funny to see him laying on little Madeline. He looks like Jacob in some of his pictures if you catch his expression just right. I don't think people will have trouble identifying your children as siblings.

p.s. I like the new background.

My poor youngest brother was both loved and wrestled nearly to death. I can't remember how many times he was dropped by one of his 7 older siblings, and he was body-slammed several times by the one just older. Aren't we glad babies are so much more durable than they look?

I've seen this first hand and all I have to say is Madeline is going to be one tough little cookie. She needs to come visit "Auntie" Heather some more.
