Sunday Activities
This afternoon my friend called and asked me what we did with our kids on Sundays. It was funny that she asked because lately I have been wondering the same thing, I would like the day to be different for them but there is so much time at home that they get bored easily. I have heard of the idea of having a Sunday box with activities inside that can only be done on Sunday but I don't know what I would put in the box. Coloring, reading books and the Friend, and watching a church movie get a little boring week after week for them. I am looking for some more fresh ideas, so my question is what do you do with your kids on Sunday? Or if your kids are too young right now what ideas do you have for when they are older?

Because of Clint's work schedule we often do FHE on Sunday. I know that that is a Monday thing. But my kids love having FHE so if we do it a couple times a week they love it just as well. I have made alot of FHE packets so it is great to just pull one of those out and just play the game from it, or tell the story, etc.
Also when do you move out this way?
We just finished teaching the sunbeams about different things that Heavenly Father created. They responded well to those lessons. I'd imagine you could take them on walks now that it is warm, and talk about the flowers, trees, etc., and incorporate them into some type of lesson.
I don't have any brain storming ideas for you. My kids are a little older, so they play games, play outside, watch church videos. Half the time they are complaining that Sunday's are soooo boring. I think it's good for kids to be bored-it forces them to use their own ideas for fun. My biggest thing about Sunday is that I want it to be different than other days. No computer, play station, disney channel etc... Sunday is a family day and if you're spending time together, it doesn't really matter what the activities (I guess within reason). Good luck. This was a lot of rambling!!!
We play games together, talk about our childhoods with the kids (well, what we can remember), watch family videos, write letters, talk to family on the phone, go on walks, cook together, read books, and quiet things. We try not to play outside too much, ride bikes, etc. I agree that sometimes it's okay for kids to be a little bored on Sundays. Our favorite times are when we all sit around together and talk. There isn't much time for that during the busy week.
